Problem Statement

Current platforms lack personalization, emotional connection, and a user-friendly experience—leading to missed opportunities to match pets with loving homes. Shelters, meanwhile, struggle to showcase animals effectively and streamline communications with interested adopters.

Solution

Petpath makes pet adoption easier and more heartfelt by helping people find their perfect match. The app lets users discover pets that fit their lifestyle, learn their stories through friendly profiles, and follow a simple step-by-step guide to adopt. With built-in chat feature, it's easy to connect with shelters and meet your future furry friend

Getting to know the users

Information Architecture (IA)

Through user research, I identified key needs and structured the app into clear sections like pet browsing, adoption steps, and resources. I created user flows and a site map to guide navigation, using clear labels and logical hierarchy. This helped ensure users could easily find what they needed, whether discovering a pet or signing up to foster—making the adoption process feel simple and accessible.
