Visual Identity
{Gánh}, a Vietnamese word, either means street vendor or burden.

The “Gánh” cultural publication will talk about how street food becomes a big part in Vietnamese cuisine and the life of street vendors.

Define “Gánh Magazine”
At the beginning of the process, I listed out the words to describe the publication. This sets a clear direction for the project and ensured consistency throughout

Initial Sketches
Inspired by the Vietnamese culture, I incorporated soft and traditional features into the wordmarks to show its warmth, heritage, and everyday charm

Wordmark Process
Based on the feedback, I then narrowed my sketches down and kept on iterating my final wordmark

Style Guide
To stay consistent throughout the magazine, I created a style guide. For this magazine, I selected three typefaces: Zain, Objektiv Mk1, and Gravita CEO—for their approachable yet elegant structures. I also used tracking variations to create a sense of openness and inviting experience
